No. 32 - Put All My CD's Onto My PC & iPod
Ever since i got into music I started collecting CD's. Up untill the early 90's I had the complete collection of Pet Shop Boys Records (Sold it in '93 for £1500), every mix on every format. Same for Howard Jones, same for It Bites.
Then In '93 I got a mortgage & would spend my money on house stuff instead & so the collection took a back seat. Then I had kids.
In the 'noughties' we are in the midst of the digital revolution, and so all the boxes & boxes of records, CD's etc can now be stored all in one little place (PC or iPod)
Status: - DONE
25/10/2006 - It was half term week, couldn't get inspired to decorate, shopping or go for days out so thought it would be the ideal time to knock this one off the list.
In The end it took a total of 14 hrs, spread over two days.
So that's every record, CD etc. that i've ever owned now transferred onto digital format (Old LP's & 7" Singles all downloaded off 'The Net).
Got me thinking though. My iTunes library has now got 3266 songs, enough for 10 days continuous partying! (See pic below). So, thinking back 20 years:-

If i was still using an old cassette 'walkman' type player for 'music on the go', I would need to carry around 125 cassettes with me in order to play all the tracks that my iPod stores!!!!
